About Robynne Anderson

Robynne Anderson is the founder of Emerging Ag Inc., which is a consulting firm to the agriculture sector that applies a multi-disciplinary approach to issues management. Emerging Ag’s services include the ability to understand global priorities, the development and explanation of sustainability plans, the articulation of organizational goals, near and long-term strategies; and coalition creation.

Robynne has extensive experience in the agriculture and food sector, working throughout the value chain – from basic inputs to farmers in the field to the grocery store shelf. She works internationally in the sector, including speaking at the United Nations on agriculture and food issues, and representing the International Agri-Food Network at the UN. Throughout her career she has worked with farm organisations like the Prairie Oat Growers Association, the National Smallholder Farmers Association of Malawi and the Himalayan Farmers Association, as well as global groups, to further the voice of agriculture in the food debate. She has also worked with Fortune 500 companies growing worldwide businesses to assist them with issues management and strategy decisions.

Robynne is currently a member of the Board of Directors of BioEnterprise business accelerator and commercialization agent, established to help promote the creation, growth and expansion of businesses engaged in Agri-Technologies. She also serves on the Advisory Board for Canada to AgriCapital, an investment bank that specializes in agribusiness. In addition, she provides secretariat services for the International Agri-Food Network. Robynne has received several awards recognizing her work, including Canada’s Seed Achievement Award. She is actively involved in and supportive of two development charities, TechnoServe and the Manyinga Community Resource Centre.

Prior to establishing Emerging Ag, Robynne founded and managed a Canadian publishing company focused on agriculture for over seventeen years. Anderson also created an issues management practice that included clients in the banking, M&A, grain handling, equipment, inputs, and farming sectors. She is a media commentator on inputs, manure management, development and farming.
